Finance & Performance Manager

About the role

JL Closets, a leader in high‑end custom storage solutions, is seeking a Finance & Performance Manager to oversee financial operations, improve business performance, and lead a remote finance team based in Argentina. This role is a key part of the leadership structure, driving efficiency, internal systems, and strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Manage payroll, bank and credit card reconciliations, and overall bookkeeping.
• Lead and mentor two bookkeepers in Argentina, setting expectations and reviewing deliverables.
• Prepare monthly financial reports with actionable insights for leadership.
• Track budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to support smarter business decisions.
• Monitor team performance, establish accountability, and ensure timely, accurate completion of financial tasks.
• Partner with external accountants on tax filings, audits, and year‑end processes.
• Identify and implement improvements in financial workflows, systems, and team processes.
• Recommend process improvements that strengthen efficiency, accountability, and overall financial performance.

Required profile

• 15+ years of finance or accounting experience with a strong leadership track record.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting tools.
• Expertise in reconciliations, payroll, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and financial compliance.
• Experience managing remote teams, monitoring performance, and improving processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, turning financial data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive mindset.
• Leadership style balancing accountability with coaching and team development.
• Ability to take ownership, set priorities, and consistently deliver results.
