Finance & Operations Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a highly detail‑oriented Finance & Operations Manager to support our fast‑paced logistics business. The role is fully remote and combines full‑cycle finance duties with operational coordination, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and smooth day‑to‑day execution.

Key responsibilities

• Review shipments for quote and billing accuracy, dispute incorrect carrier charges.
• Prepare weekly shipment billing, invoices, and manage full‑cycle AP/AR.
• Maintain QuickBooks Online, perform reconciliations and transaction reviews.
• Coordinate weekly payroll using Deel across multiple U.S. states and ensure compliance.
• Handle new employee onboarding, background checks via Checkr, and manage company licenses and insurance renewals.
• Process new orders, generate BOL and PRO numbers, assign carriers, and prepare logistics documentation.
• Negotiate with vendors and carriers, monitor operational accuracy, and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Maintain operational spreadsheets, reports, and tracking systems using Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online, AP/AR, and weekly invoicing.
• Proven background in U.S. payroll operations and vendor management.
• Strong ability to work independently in a remote, process‑driven environment.
