Finance Operations Accountant

About the role

PIF Advisory is seeking a Finance Operations Accountant to support a payment company's finance operations. The role involves hands‑on bookkeeping, month‑end close, and learning payments‑industry reconciliation under the guidance of an engagement lead. The successful candidate will work directly with client systems and help improve workflow efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform core finance operations including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany transactions.
• Support business and scheme settlement reconciliation, processing funds from Visa and Mastercard, settling to merchants, and preparing related reports (training provided).
• Execute month‑end close and reporting tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Follow and improve documented workflows, incorporating AI‑enabled processes where applicable.
• Work within the client’s technology stack: NetSuite, Microsoft O365, and SharePoint.

Required profile

• Solid bookkeeping and general accounting experience covering bank reconciliation, AR, AP, and intercompany.
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work in an embedded client‑facing capacity.
• Willingness to learn industry‑specific payment‑scheme (acquirer) reconciliation.
