Finance Department Manager

About the role

JL Closets, South Florida’s leading custom storage solutions company, is looking for an experienced Finance Department Manager to oversee and optimize its financial operations while managing a remote team of bookkeepers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with best accounting practices.
• Oversee payroll processing to guarantee timely and accurate employee compensation.
• Perform and supervise bank and credit‑card reconciliations, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
• Lead two Argentina‑based bookkeepers, ensuring consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Generate and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations.
• Monitor cash flow, manage budgets, and control expenses to support business growth.
• Ensure tax compliance, assist with audits, and liaise with external accountants.
• Implement and refine financial processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Required profile

• 15+ years of finance or accounting experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Experience with payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and credit‑card reconciliation.
• Professional English proficiency and strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
