Excel Specialist – AI Document Evaluation (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to support a project that evaluates how advanced AI systems create, understand, and modify professional Microsoft Office documents. The role is freelance, fully remote, and focuses on designing realistic business scenarios and providing structured feedback on AI‑generated files.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic business tasks that require advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Create and review professional .xlsx.pptx, and .docx files, including complex spreadsheets, reports, and business models.
• Engage in structured conversations with an AI system about document‑related tasks.
• Compare two AI‑generated outputs, select the stronger solution, and document quality differences.
• Evaluate files for accuracy, usability, formatting, and business relevance across functions such as finance, operations, strategy, sales, marketing, and HR.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing business context in generated documents.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word on complex business projects.
• Background in a business function (e.g., finance, consulting, strategy, operations, HR, sales, or marketing).
• Experience working in a Fortune 500 environment or similarly complex organisation.
• Strong ability to evaluate document quality and provide clear written feedback.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modelling, analysis, reporting, and structured data presentation.
• Professional‑grade PowerPoint and Word document creation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
