Environmental Intern – Waste Segregation Program

About the role

Join Pfizer's Global Business Services team in Buenos Aires as an Environmental Intern. You will support the development and implementation of a waste segregation program that aligns with Pfizer standards and local regulations, contributing directly to the company's sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site audits to identify waste streams across different plant areas.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for waste segregation, handling, and temporary storage.
• Classify waste according to Pfizer standards and Argentine legal requirements.
• Identify and propose waste‑reduction initiatives to improve the plant’s Waste Score metric.
• Research new waste‑treatment technologies and evaluate potential suppliers.
• Monitor compliance with local waste‑management regulations.
• Create awareness materials and lead initiatives to promote waste segregation among local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Active enrollment in the second year of an Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related program.
• High school diploma.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of environmental data analysis and reporting.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
