Junior Consultant - Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change

About the role

ERM is looking for a Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Junior Consultant to join its consultancy team in Buenos Aires. The role covers climate change and sustainability consulting projects across the energy, oil & gas, mining and industrial sectors, working with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, organize and analyze large datasets from multiple sources
• Develop, maintain and quality-check analytical tools and models in Microsoft Excel
• Perform quantitative assessments of greenhouse gas emissions, environmental performance and sustainability metrics
• Support climate risk and resilience analyses for industrial and infrastructure assets
• Take part in stakeholder interviews, workshops and information-gathering activities
• Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations and client deliverables
• Research sustainability trends, regulations, climate frameworks and industry best practices
• Support proposal preparation and technical business development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, Petroleum, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• 0-3 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting, sustainability, environmental management, engineering or data analytics
• Exposure to oil & gas, energy, mining, industrial manufacturing or infrastructure is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Spanish

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, modeling and quality control
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured and unstructured datasets
• Highly valued: Python, R or SQL; Microsoft Access, Power BI or GIS/QGIS; familiarity with data analytics, automation tools and data visualization
• Advantages: knowledge of ESG, greenhouse gas accounting, industrial processes and QA/QC
