Email Designer for eCommerce Lifecycle Marketing

About the role

UN/COMMON is seeking an experienced Email Designer to create high‑performing email campaigns and lifecycle marketing assets for multiple eCommerce clients. You will work closely with retention strategists, marketers, copywriters, and other creative stakeholders to deliver conversion‑focused designs that align with brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑performing email campaigns, automated lifecycle flows, and retention marketing assets for eCommerce brands.
• Create visually compelling, conversion‑focused solutions that meet business objectives.
• Develop email concepts, layouts, and visual systems supporting customer engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with strategists, marketers, copywriters, and creative teams to deliver projects on time.
• Execute projects from concept through final delivery while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Produce motion‑based elements, GIFs, and lightweight animations to enhance engagement.
• Provide constructive design feedback during reviews and discussions.
• Suggest improvements for creative workflows, efficiency, and project execution.
• Support occasional internal marketing or business‑development creative needs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional email design experience, preferably for eCommerce or DTC brands.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant email marketing, retention, and digital design work.
• Professional fluency in spoken and written English.
• Availability to collaborate during U.S. Eastern Time business hours (Mon‑Fri, 9 AM‑5 PM EST).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto‑layout).
• Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Motion design experience, including GIF creation and familiarity with Adobe After Effects or similar tools.
• Experience using AI design tools for image generation and optimization.
