DevOps Manager – Lead Multi-Team Coordination

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Manager to act as the technical liaison between our client’s DevOps organization and cross‑functional stakeholders. This coordination‑focused role will oversee multiple engineering teams, ensuring standardized delivery without being a hands‑on individual contributor.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and align multiple internal engineering teams (DevOps/Core, infrastructure, related scrums) to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical reference for the client’s Azure infrastructure, interpreting diagrams and component relationships.
• Provide clear RAG status reporting, escalating risks and delays to leadership.
• Diagnose delivery blockers and delegate execution to appropriate specialists.
• Facilitate two‑way communication between client leadership and DevOps teams, cascading priorities and standards.
• Standardize processes across the DevOps organization to promote consistency.
• Monitor and enforce security, regulatory, and compliance requirements across environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, DevOps Manager, Stack Manager or Engineering Manager coordinating multiple projects/teams.
• Strong leadership, communication and delegation mindset.
• Ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Azure cloud infrastructure expertise.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) experience.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Bash (desired).
• Version control with GitHub (desired).
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as GCP or Oracle Cloud (a plus).
