Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer who lives at the intersection of design and frontend engineering. You will turn ambiguous product ideas into polished, interactive interfaces that feel premium and performant, prototyping directly in React with real data.

Key responsibilities

• Own product surfaces from concept to shipped UI, ensuring high‑quality interactions and accessibility.
• Prototype ideas in code using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS to validate motion, layout, and responsiveness.
• Build and maintain the craft layer of our frontend, including micro‑interactions, animations, error states, and keyboard navigation.
• Contribute to and evolve our design system and component library.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver features that work and feel great.

Required profile

• Strong frontend fundamentals with a genuine eye for spacing, typography, hierarchy, and color.
• Attention to detail on performance, 60fps polish, and motion that adds clarity.
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team and push features forward without heavy hand‑holding.
• Portfolio showcasing interactive interfaces you built and are proud of.

What we offer

• Compensation between $2,000‑$4,000 USD per month, based on experience.
