Data Specialist – Data Architecture (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Specialist with a focus on Data Architecture to join our remote team. The role involves designing, developing and managing scalable data architectures that support analytics, machine learning and other data‑driven initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Develop and manage ETL workflows to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
• Oversee database design, implementation and maintenance, guaranteeing data integrity, security and performance.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for data warehousing and BI.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to build and operate scalable data environments.
• Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and other stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Document architectures, models and integration processes and tune database performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, database management and data integration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Required skills

• Relational and non‑relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Data modeling tools such as ERwin and Visio.
• ETL tools and processes.
• Cloud data solutions – AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL Database.
• Familiarity with big‑data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
