Data Specialist (Data Architect) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Specialist with a focus on Data Architecture to join our remote team. You will design, develop, and manage scalable data solutions that enable analytics, machine‑learning, and other data‑driven initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for data warehousing and BI.
• Develop and manage ETL workflows to ensure seamless data integration between systems.
• Oversee database design, implementation, and performance tuning for both relational and non‑relational stores.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to build and operate data environments.
• Implement data governance practices to guarantee data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.
• Document architectures, models, and integration processes comprehensively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, database management, and data integration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Required skills

• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Data modeling tools such as ERwin and Visio.
• ETL tools and processes.
• Cloud data services: AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL Database.
• Familiarity with big‑data technologies like Hadoop and Spark (optional).
