Data Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

Bridgenext is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its Latin America team. You will design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms that power analytics and reporting for our clients. The role is fully remote but requires working during U.S. Central Time business hours and participating in an on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, automate and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Develop and maintain dbt models, data transformations, and CI/CD workflows.
• Implement dimensional data models following Kimball methodology and star‑schema best practices.
• Optimise SQL queries and data‑warehouse performance for scalability.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures and conduct root‑cause analysis for production incidents.
• Implement automated testing and validation to ensure data quality.
• Follow data‑security, governance and Master Data Management standards.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with analysts, software engineers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience designing modern ETL/ELT pipelines.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory.
• Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to work CST business hours and join a rotational on‑call schedule.
