Data Engineer – Remote

About the role

Sophilabs is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and database solutions. You will work remotely, collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and developers to ensure the data architecture meets business needs and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, and maintain large‑scale processing systems and related infrastructure.
• Set up, configure, and manage Amazon Redshift and other relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Collaborate with data scientists on big‑data initiatives and participate in data‑modeling workshops.
• Integrate new data‑management technologies and software‑engineering tools into existing pipelines.
• Develop processes for data mining, modeling, and production, and document issues within the data infrastructure.
• Monitor debugging results, resolve data discrepancies, and ensure reliable data flow across teams.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Positive attitude, passion for continuous learning, and strong analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
