Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for our clients. The role is fully remote and involves close collaboration with analysts, scientists, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality data for analytics and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from APIs, databases and third‑party platforms.
• Build and optimise data warehouses and data lake architectures on cloud platforms.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, security and compliance across all flows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve pipeline performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data governance best practices and document data models and processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• SQL and relational database management.
• Programming in Python, Java or Scala.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Hands‑on with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or Databricks.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data governance and data quality principles.
