Data Engineer – AWS, SQL, Python (Remote, Argentina)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines in a fully remote setting based in Argentina. You will work with modern cloud‑native tools to transform, orchestrate, and deliver high‑quality data for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop reusable Python packages, scripts, and automation tools, including integration with REST APIs.
• Design and optimise SQL queries and Snowflake data models, focusing on performance tuning.
• Build and monitor data workflows using Apache Airflow and dbt, ensuring version‑controlled transformations.
• Implement data storage and processing solutions on AWS services such as S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and Athena.
• Maintain data quality, governance, and cloud‑native troubleshooting practices.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator comfortable with client‑facing interactions.
• Self‑motivated individual contributor who can also collaborate effectively within a team.
• 100% hands‑on experience with the listed technologies.

Required skills

• Python (advanced, including OOP, multithreading, Pandas, NumPy)
• SQL (complex joins, window functions, CTEs, Snowflake)
• dbt (core/cloud, models, macros, Jinja templating)
• Apache Airflow (orchestration, monitoring)
• AWS services: S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, Athena
• GitHub with CI/CD pipelines
• REST API integration and data validation testing
