Crisis Response Agent

About the role

Cognizant is looking for a Crisis Response Agent to join one of its large digital platforms. The role suits people connected to internet technologies and developing news stories, working on fast-moving incidents including man-made and natural disasters. It is a full-time, hybrid position based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Key responsibilities

• Review online sources and internal information to accurately escalate issues of concern to the client.
• Learn and perform all new tasks, workflows and processes, including updates to existing work, as rolled out by the Shift and Team Leads.
• Suggest process improvements to current workflows to drive efficiency, improve work quality and expand responsibilities.
• Take part in, and lead when needed, communication between stakeholders and supporting teams.
• Research helpful information for people who could be affected by a natural or man-made disaster.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree; majors in political science, journalism, digital media, international studies, geography, meteorology, environmental sciences, geology, physics, chemistry or a related field, or a technical degree.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders and executives.
• Calm under pressure and able to handle urgent, developing situations and multiple projects at once.
• Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
