Country Manager – Emerging Markets Fintech

About the role

You will own one market end‑to‑end: understand it through data, adapt the product, keep it healthy and compliant, and drive growth. This builder‑operator position blends product management, growth, and business ownership in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the market’s performance by tracking sign‑ups, activation, retention, credit usage and acquisition cost, and presenting data‑driven insights to leadership.
• Drive growth through referral mechanics, incentives, lifecycle communications, local channels and rigorous experimentation.
• Adapt the product for the market by specifying flows, features, incentives and localized language, then collaborating with engineering to ship and measure impact.
• Manage the local partnership ecosystem, including payment rails, card programs, identity‑verification providers and merchant relationships.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, KYC, fraud controls and refund policies, flagging risks early and coordinating with legal counsel.
• Maintain product health by monitoring user experience, identifying issues early and working with engineering to resolve them.

Required profile

• Operational experience in tech (fintech, marketplaces, delivery or similar) with a focus on outcome ownership.
• Strong bias to action – prefers launching imperfect solutions quickly.
• Proven track record of owning growth initiatives and delivering measurable results.
• Data‑driven mindset; comfortable querying SQL, reading dashboards and turning numbers into decisions.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; based in Argentina.
