Cost Accountant

About the role

Flowserve, a global manufacturer of pumps, valves, seals and aftermarket services, is looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to report to the Finance Manager and work within a local accounting and finance structure. The role works closely with operations and helps out with other facilities when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month-end close for inventory, purchasing and accounts receivable, including reconciliation
• Project accounting: monthly review of margins and processing
• Sales and margin analysis
• Process month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and recharges
• Fixed asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage and own the standard costing system
• Analyse costs and manufacturing data within the business
• Other duties assigned

Required profile

• BS or BA degree in a relevant field
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Intermediate level oral and written English
• Clear, concise communication skills
• Ability to challenge the norm and look for better solutions and processes

Required skills

• Strong cost accounting knowledge and experience
• General knowledge of accounting policies
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office products
• Knowledge of Oracle, BPC and SAP is beneficial
