Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Consulting Associate

About the role

ERM is looking for an entry‑level consultant to support climate change and sustainability projects across energy, oil & gas, mining and industrial sectors. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to analyze data, develop models and deliver client‑focused reports.

Key responsibilities

• Support consulting projects in energy, oil & gas, mining and industrial sectors.
• Collect, organize and analyse large datasets from multiple sources.
• Develop, maintain and quality‑check analytical tools and models in Microsoft Excel.
• Perform quantitative assessments of greenhouse‑gas emissions and sustainability metrics.
• Assist in climate risk and resilience analyses for industrial and infrastructure assets.
• Participate in stakeholder interviews, workshops and information‑gathering activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and client deliverables.
• Conduct research on sustainability trends, regulations and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Industrial).
• 0–3 years of professional experience, preferably in consulting, sustainability, environmental management, engineering or data analytics.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, modelling, quality control).
• Experience with Python, R or SQL.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Power BI or GIS/QGIS.
• Familiarity with data analytics, automation tools and data visualization.
