Core Operations Manager

About the role

Uber is seeking a strategic, analytical, and people‑oriented leader to head Core Operations for its Mobility business in Argentina. You will own key marketplace growth and experience outcomes, driving driver and rider access, activation, retention, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Own and monitor core metrics across driver access, rider access, growth, experience and safety, including active driver and rider targets.
• Develop and execute local strategies to improve driver and rider acquisition, activation, retention and overall experience.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities throughout the driver and rider lifecycle and translate data into actionable initiatives.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing team, setting clear priorities and ensuring measurable impact.
• Partner with Central and Regional Operations, Product, Safety, Marketplace, Support, Legal, Policy and CommOps to align priorities and execute initiatives.
• Build scalable processes, dashboards and routines to enhance visibility and decision‑making.
• Proactively surface risks and emerging issues that could affect marketplace health, safety or growth.
• Represent Argentina’s operational needs in regional and central forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Operations, Analytics or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in Operations, Strategy, Consulting, Marketplace or Product Operations, Business Intelligence or Growth.
• Strong analytical, data‑driven mindset with ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Proven experience managing teams, setting priorities and driving execution through others.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across regional, central and local teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, juggle multiple priorities and deliver results.
