Contracts Advisor / Category Specialist (Hybrid, Buenos Aires)

About the role

The Contracts Advisor / Category Specialist will support contracting activities for operating companies within a leading Oil & Gas group. Based in Puerto Madero, the role combines strategic planning, supplier negotiation and ongoing contract management to drive cost improvements and alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support contracting requests across multiple operating companies and develop annual Category and Contracting Plans.
• Identify cost‑improvement opportunities through stakeholder and supplier meetings and monitor plan execution throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Negotiate, review, redline and prepare contracts, amendments and statements of work with new and existing suppliers.
• Collaborate with legal counsel, business stakeholders and global category teams to ensure compliance and best‑practice policies.
• Track cost savings, report regularly to stakeholders and contribute to the development of common policies and technology improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in contracting and/or category management, including creating, renewing and negotiating contracts.
• Proven ability to perform technical and commercial analysis to procure services under optimal conditions.
• Strong understanding of business drivers, supplier relations and portfolio rationalisation.
• Advanced English proficiency and a bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields.
