Compliance Services Representative

About the role

The Compliance Services Representative supports clients with day‑to‑day tax compliance tasks, acting as a trusted extension of their tax environment. You will handle data imports, regulatory deadlines and resolve complex compliance issues.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver client services using Sovos tax reporting solutions (1099, ACA, Sales & Use Tax, FATCA, Unclaimed Property, Certificate Management).
• Ensure compliance with IRS, state and local tax authorities and client‑specified procedures.
• Identify, prioritize and resolve client issues, coordinating internal teams for timely solutions.
• Assist Compliance Services Associates in building expertise and resolving issues.
• Track team activities, support training sessions, create materials and mentor colleagues.
• Lead or contribute to internal process‑improvement projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1‑2 years of client support or services experience, preferably in tax information reporting.
• Strong time‑management, decision‑making and organizational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.

Required skills

• Tax Information Reporting (1099) knowledge.
• Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting experience.
• Sales and Use Tax reporting expertise.
• FATCA compliance understanding.
• Unclaimed Property handling.
• Exemption Certificate Management.
