Architecture Lead for EY Fabric Platform

About the role

Lead the architecture of EY Fabric, the global technology platform that enables secure, scalable product delivery. The role blends strategic vision with hands‑on engineering, guiding design decisions while actively prototyping and reviewing code.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product managers to translate business needs into pragmatic architecture.
• Own the technical direction for platform capabilities from concept through operation.
• Produce architecture blueprints, decision records, reference patterns and implementation guidance.
• Work directly with engineering teams on prototyping, code reviews, pair design and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate technologies, assess build‑versus‑buy options and present evidence‑based recommendations.
• Provide technical leadership throughout delivery, ensuring alignment with quality and enterprise standards.
• Mentor engineers, promote knowledge sharing and contribute to architecture communities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in solution or technical architecture for large‑scale products or internal developer platforms.
• Hands‑on software engineering skills in at least one modern language (C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
• Broad experience across cloud‑native applications, integration, data and security.
• Strong analytical, collaboration and communication abilities, able to influence senior stakeholders and engineers.
