Application Engineer Team Lead

About the role

The Application Engineer Team Lead will drive end‑to‑end delivery of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions within EY's Talent IT Service Delivery team. You will lead a team of consultants, collaborate with project managers, QA and support teams, and act as the primary contact for Employee Central projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspire, guide and mentor a team of SAP BTP consultants through complex project lifecycles.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and resource allocations to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture business requirements and translate them into system specifications.
• Design and configure SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solutions, including org management, workflows, business rules and security.
• Manage risks, resolve complex issues and prevent escalations across the delivery lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a matrix organization, with the ability to balance service line needs and firm initiatives.
• Strong business acumen, negotiation skills and executive presence to manage customer expectations.
• Ability to make decisions, prioritize relationships and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in professional services or client‑service roles, preferably within SAP environments.
