AI Software Developer – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

WorkBetterNow is looking for an AI Software Developer to design, build, and ship internal web applications that streamline operations and reduce software licensing costs. The role is fully remote for professionals living in LATAM or the Caribbean and requires a strong product mindset to turn business problems into secure, cost‑effective tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, ship, and maintain internal web applications using AI‑assisted development environments (e.g., Replit, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Partner with leadership to identify high‑cost third‑party software and replace it with purpose‑built internal tools, estimating cost savings for each project.
• Write clean, documented, and maintainable code following source‑control and deployment best practices while applying security and data‑protection standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to scope, prioritize, demo new tools, and keep a transparent backlog.
• Track delivery KPIs (tools shipped, cost savings, adoption, uptime) and propose new internal‑tooling opportunities.

Required profile

• Live in LATAM or the Caribbean.
• 3+ years of experience building and shipping web applications.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) to communicate with US‑based teams.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as Replit, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
• Proven experience working in Scrum/Agile frameworks.
