Accounting Manager – US GAAP & Job Costing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to take full ownership of the books for a U.S.-based live events and audiovisual production company. The role is fully remote, requires close collaboration with leadership, and demands accurate, decision‑ready financial information delivered on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day accounting activities under U.S. GAAP.
• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage revenue recognition for production contracts, show settlements, and non‑standard deals.
• Maintain precise job costing across events and productions.
• Handle intercompany transactions and occasional one‑time accounting activities.
• Establish transaction‑recording standards and guide the HR & Finance Coordinator.
• Reconcile accounts, identify gaps, and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Keep organized, audit‑ready financial records and provide clear financial reports to leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Proven experience managing monthly close processes and reconciliations.
• Hands‑on experience with job costing and revenue recognition.
• Ability to work independently, make accounting judgment calls, and communicate findings clearly.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
• CPA designation or active CPA candidacy is a plus.
