Accounting Manager – Remote (Tech‑forward eCommerce Firm)

About the role

UpCounting is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accountants and provide founders of eCommerce brands with clean, reliable financials. This fully remote position blends leadership, full‑cycle accounting oversight, and process automation in a tech‑forward environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of accountants to ensure accurate, timely deliverables.
• Oversee full‑cycle accounting, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and month‑end close across multiple client files.
• Maintain and improve UpCounting’s accounting processes for operational excellence.
• Communicate financial insights to clients and support their understanding of key metrics.
• Identify automation opportunities and collaborate with Controllers and senior leadership to streamline workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in accounting management, preferably in a multi‑client or firm setting.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a calm, structured style.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero; NetSuite knowledge is a plus.
• Comfort with automation tools and a mindset for continuous process improvement.
