Accounting Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance for US‑based companies. This hands‑on leadership position balances strategic oversight with detailed execution, ensuring accurate, timely, and decision‑ready financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting functions including general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Ensure financial reporting complies with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Prepare and review management reports and financial statements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and SOPs.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
• Support tax, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements.
• Manage multi‑entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and scalable process improvements.
• Lead accounting system implementations, migrations, and automation initiatives.
• Mentor and support accounting team members, communicating risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior controller or equivalent roles.
• Strong end‑to‑end knowledge of accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP and experience with US‑based companies.
• Proven ownership of month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
• Strong internal controls and policy development background.
