Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month‑end close for a portfolio of hospitality clients. You will work in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting tasks, prepare journal entries, and support month‑end close to meet client deadlines.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity by cleaning up and resolving reconciling items.
• Master specialized hospitality platforms, ERP tools, and reporting structures for independent execution.
• Deliver consistent, accurate, and responsive client service in line with standardized processes.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of professional accounting experience; hospitality or outsourced accounting background preferred.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close cycles.
• Familiarity with hotel operations, revenue cycles, and hospitality systems such as Opera and POS platforms.
• Ability to quickly learn and use Ottimate, Acumatica, and ProfitSword.
• Highly organized, detail‑focused, and capable of working independently while collaborating with teams and clients.
