Accountant – Accounts Payable (Argentina)

About the role

EPAM is looking for an Accountant to join its global shared‑service Accounts Payable team in Argentina. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial processing and supporting the high‑performing finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Examine expenditure documentation to verify accounting accuracy.
• Coordinate and execute vendor payments, handling domestic and international wires, batch and individual transactions.
• Record company expenses in line with US GAAP, covering accounts payable and banking activities.
• Perform monthly account closing tasks in SAP following internal procedures.
• Collaborate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues.
• Provide explanations and supporting records to Senior or Lead Accountants as needed.
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder requests, attend meetings, and prepare audit documentation.
• Participate in process‑improvement projects with the IT team, identifying optimisation opportunities and testing new processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated responsibility, task ownership and ability to follow established guidelines.
• Motivation for continuous self‑improvement and skill development.
• Collaborative team player with experience in multicultural environments.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and spoken).
