Associate Director Communications

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a highly collaborative communicator to develop, plan and execute internal communications initiatives that boost employee engagement and align with the company’s strategy. The role will shape messaging, drive cultural initiatives and support change adoption across a global, matrixed organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications strategies and integrated campaigns that support enterprise initiatives and business priorities.
• Create compelling, audience‑appropriate content for multiple channels (intranet, Teams, email, video, live events) and manage distribution.
• Establish measurement plans, reporting dashboards and use analytics to continuously optimize content and channel performance.
• Partner with Global Corporate Communications & Marketing, providing editorial governance, intake prioritization and ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Advise senior leaders on communication approaches, messaging, timing and channel selection for enterprise and change initiatives.

Required profile

• BA/BAS degree in a relevant field with 5–7 years of communications experience, preferably in healthcare or scientific environments.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to act independently and meet competing deadlines.
• Native proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
• Digital fluency across internal channels such as Microsoft Teams, intranet platforms, video production tools and digital employee experience platforms.
• Project management and prioritization expertise.
• Analytics and data‑led communications skills, including measurement planning and dashboard creation.
• Experience with responsible generative AI use, video/audio editing and coordinating external production partners.
• Event planning and execution for town halls and large‑scale meetings.
