Senior Software Engineer – Multi‑Tier Sync Architecture

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement a multi‑tier synchronization architecture for a high‑volume quick‑service‑restaurant (QSR) platform. You will work across local device stores, restaurant edge nodes, and a cloud backend, ensuring offline‑first guarantees and real‑time consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑tier sync across device, edge, and cloud layers with offline‑first guarantees.
• Implement conflict‑resolution strategies such as vector clocks, last‑write‑wins, and merge policies.
• Apply event sourcing, CQRS, and saga patterns to order, kitchen, payment, and receipt flows.
• Use real‑time pub/sub or WebSockets to keep state synchronized across devices.
• Model the cloud data layer in PostgreSQL and define reconciliation logic between local, edge, and cloud stores.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with distributed data or synchronization.
• Strong background in React Native, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with offline‑first or local‑first data beyond simple caching.
• Solid understanding of distributed‑systems fundamentals (conflict resolution, eventual consistency, idempotency, ordering).
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and asynchronous messaging.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational data modeling.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
