Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Built Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Argentina team. You will work on the lending side of Built’s AI‑powered platform, which processes 10% of U.S. construction spend and connects lenders with borrowers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs and microservices using Node, GraphQL, NestJS, Python frameworks, and AWS services.
• Lead large‑scale refactors, system upgrades, and architectural improvements while managing risks and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers, delegate tasks, and foster cross‑team collaboration to deliver business outcomes.
• Document system structures, processes, and architectural decisions for cross‑functional understanding.

Required profile

• Proven experience in core backend engineering, database design, and performance optimization (relational and non‑relational).
• Strong knowledge of computer‑science fundamentals, object‑oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience deploying production systems on AWS and working with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work independently, own delivery, and mentor others in a fast‑growing environment.
