Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

DEPT® is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of test strategies across our digital products. You will mentor junior engineers, shape automation frameworks, and ensure high‑quality delivery in a fast‑moving, globally distributed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of test strategies, plans, and automation frameworks using Cypress, JMeter and Postman.
• Mentor and guide mid‑level and junior QA engineers, fostering technical growth.
• Conduct code reviews focused on testability and overall quality.
• Analyze test results, provide actionable recommendations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle to embed quality.
• Promote best practices and act as a subject‑matter expert in software testing and QA.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in Cypress, TypeScript, JMeter, Jest, Postman, SQL/DB and Jira.
• Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
• Proven ability to write and execute complex test cases and scripts.
• Experience with end‑to‑end, API, and performance/load testing.
• Familiarity with Git version control and AWS CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
