Data Governance Senior Associate (US Client)

About the role

PwC's Acceleration Center Buenos Aires is hiring a Data Governance Senior Associate for a US client, working within the Technology Consulting practice. The role engages with clients on their privacy law and data protection needs, builds client relationships and understands the business context, while mentoring junior team members and upholding professional and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, strategies, operating models, policies, standards and roadmaps aligned with business and data management objectives.
• Manage data governance technology implementations, from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, production rollout and stakeholder adoption.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to set up data ownership, stewardship, metadata management, data lineage, data quality and data lifecycle management.
• Help address data breach incidents and strengthen cybersecurity measures.
• Support the development of privacy programs and policies, manage records and information security, and advise on regulatory compliance to reduce risk.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Oral and written English proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with at least one leading enterprise data governance platform (Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Databricks or OneTrust).
• Experience implementing data governance programs (cataloging, metadata management, lineage, data quality, stewardship or lifecycle management) and leading data governance workstreams or technology implementations.

Required skills

• Preferred: familiarity with metadata management, data cataloging, data profiling, data quality, retention management or structured data archiving.
• Preferred: knowledge of data governance frameworks and certifications such as DCAM, DAMA, CDMP or Collibra Ranger.
• Preferred: SQL and Python for data analysis, profiling and validation.
