Behavioral Science Intern

About the role

The People Organization at Assurant is looking for an intern to apply behavioral science principles to improve employee experiences, product adoption, and self‑service utilization of HR tools.

Key responsibilities

• Research behavioral science concepts and identify practical workplace applications.
• Support the design and execution of employee adoption and engagement experiments.
• Analyze employee behavior patterns and adoption metrics.
• Develop recommendations to improve utilization of People Organization products and services.
• Help design employee communications informed by behavioral science principles.
• Measure effectiveness of interventions and document lessons learned.
• Partner with People Organization leaders to identify experimentation opportunities.
• Create presentations and summaries of findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science or Behavioral Economics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Curiosity about human behavior and decision‑making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Coursework in behavioral science, experimentation, statistics, or research methods.
• Experience working with data and insights.
• Interest in Employee Experience, HR, AI adoption, or organizational change.
