Associate Director Communications

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a strategic, collaborative communicator to lead internal communications initiatives that boost employee engagement and align with corporate strategy. The role will shape messaging, content, and multi‑channel campaigns across a global, matrixed organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communications strategies and integrated campaigns supporting enterprise initiatives, culture, and employee engagement.
• Create compelling, audience‑appropriate content for intranet, Teams, email, video, live events and manage multi‑channel distribution.
• Establish measurement plans, dashboards and use analytics to continuously optimize content, cadence and channel performance.
• Partner with Global Corporate Communications & Marketing, providing editorial governance, intake prioritization and ensuring timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Advise senior leaders on messaging, timing and channel selection for change initiatives and enterprise programs.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of communications experience, preferably in healthcare or scientific environments.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling ability to distill complex information into clear messages.
• Excellent project management, stakeholder‑management and consultative skills.
• Ability to work independently, balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Digital fluency with internal channels such as Microsoft Teams, intranet platforms and video production tools.
• Analytics and data‑led communications: measurement planning, dashboard creation and basic experimentation.
• Video and audio editing, including coordination with external production partners.
• Event planning and execution for town halls and large‑scale meetings, both domestic and international.
