Know Your Customer (KYC) Associate

About the role

The KYC Associate will join the Client Onboarding team to ensure new customers and amendments are reviewed in line with regulatory and internal requirements. You will analyse client documentation, assess risk, and support anti‑money‑laundering controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform KYC and client documentation analysis for new customers and amendments, applying relevant jurisdictional regulations.
• Study legal and commercial documents to understand client activity, structure, and associated risk.
• Execute AML policies and internal procedures in accordance with local and global standards.
• Interact daily with sales and banking teams to obtain required documents and provide onboarding status updates.
• Conduct quality‑control checks to ensure compliance with all applicable rules.
• Follow up on pending client documentation by liaising with internal lines of business.
• Perform client searches and communicate findings accurately.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Internal Controls, Technology, Client Services, and regional onboarding teams.
• Prepare regulatory reports and maintain regional client‑setup metrics.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines on time‑sensitive projects.
• Experience in documentation management.
