Director, People Business Partner

About the role

CodeRoad is seeking a Director, People Business Partner to lead its People function across LATAM and the United States. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Executive Team, the role oversees the full employee and contractor lifecycle, from talent strategy to compliance, total rewards, learning, and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, VP of Delivery & Engineering, and the Executive Team on organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and culture.
• Develop and execute a multi‑year People & Culture strategy aligned with CodeRoad’s growth and AI‑driven service evolution.
• Lead, coach, and grow the People & Culture team, modeling core values and raising performance standards.
• Own talent strategy for both full‑time employees and a sizable contract/nearshore delivery workforce, ensuring consistent experience and governance.
• Drive performance management, career frameworks, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Lead multi‑country HR compliance across LATAM jurisdictions and the United States, partnering with legal and finance on labor law, contractor classification, immigration, and policy.
• Define compensation philosophy, benefits, and recognition programs that are competitive and equitable across geographies.
• Operate and continuously improve the People tech stack, including BambooHR, Coursera, and Jira, with a focus on AI‑enhanced employee experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and scaling People functions in professional services or nearshore delivery environments.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a track record of influencing senior executives.
• Deep knowledge of multi‑country HR compliance, especially LATAM and U.S. employment law.
• Ability to translate core values into tangible rituals, programs, and decisions.
