Adjunct Faculty – Emergency Medical Services (EMSI)

About the role

The university seeks qualified adjunct instructors to join its Emergency Medical Services (EMSI) faculty pool. Appointed on a fixed‑term, part‑time basis, you will deliver EMS courses to undergraduate and graduate students, both on‑campus and off‑campus, while supporting the department’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned EMS courses according to approved syllabi and textbooks.
• Maintain regular office hours, advise and mentor students.
• Develop and update course materials, learning objectives, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance, assign grades, and keep accurate records.
• Participate in curriculum review and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with department chair or dean to arrange class coverage when needed.

Required profile

• Relevant doctoral or terminal degree for upper‑division/graduate instruction (or a master’s degree for lower‑division courses) from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in Emergency Medical Services or related health fields.
• Ability to meet scheduled class times, maintain office hours, and fulfill grading deadlines.
• Commitment to academic integrity and student success.
