Adjunct Faculty – Emergency Medical Services (EMSI)

About the role

The university is seeking qualified professionals to join its Adjunct Faculty Pool for Emergency Medical Services (EMSI). This part‑time, fixed‑term position involves teaching EMS courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, both on‑campus and off‑campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assigned EMS courses following approved syllabi and textbooks.
• Maintain regular office hours, advise and support students.
• Develop and update course materials, learning objectives, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance, assign grades, and keep accurate records.
• Participate in departmental curriculum reviews and recommend improvements.
• Assist in the preparation of new course syllabi and program development.

Required profile

• Relevant doctoral or terminal degree for upper‑division/graduate teaching, or a master’s degree for lower‑division courses, from accredited institutions.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in emergency medical services or related health fields.
• Ability to meet scheduled class times, maintain attendance records, and adhere to grading deadlines.
• Willingness to serve as academic advisor and contribute to departmental activities.
