Accounting Lead – US GAAP (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to manage end‑to‑end accounting operations for fast‑growing US companies. This remote position will work closely with Controllers, CFOs, and finance leadership to ensure compliance with US GAAP and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own full month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements under US GAAP.
• Handle accruals, prepaid schedules, journal entries, balance‑sheet reviews, and multi‑entity intercompany reconciliations.
• Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and lease accounting as needed.
• Maintain strong internal controls, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable resolutions.
• Develop and refine SOPs, accounting workflows, and close procedures.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Payroll, and leadership teams.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to external auditor requests.
• Lead ERP optimization and accounting automation initiatives.
• Mentor junior accounting staff where applicable.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with full‑cycle responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and strong month‑end close expertise.
• Proven ability to work independently in a high‑growth, remote environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
