Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Manager (Controller) to provide timely and accurate accounting services for a portfolio of e‑commerce clients. The role is fully remote and serves Latin American professionals working with US‑based companies. You will lead client onboarding, system integrations, and ensure GAAP‑compliant financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closes for multiple client accounts and prepare periodic financial statements.
• Oversee client accounting operations including AP, AR, cash management, payroll, tax, inventory control, and general ledger.
• Prepare and post periodic accruals, depreciation, amortization, and other adjusting journal entries.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency across clients.
• Mentor and manage junior team members, providing clear operating guidelines.
• Act as liaison with clients to resolve accounting queries and support ad‑hoc requests.
• Support client onboarding and integration of accounting, CRM, MRP, ERP, and e‑commerce SaaS systems.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in e‑commerce, manufacturing or distribution, or 5+ years in general accounting.
• Background in a Big Four accounting firm or client‑service experience in an accounting/consulting environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA certification preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Proficiency with NetSuite.
