VP of AI Strategy

About the role

Change.org is seeking a Vice President of AI Strategy to join the executive team reporting to the COO. In this senior position you will shape and execute an organization‑wide AI strategy that accelerates the impact of our democracy‑building platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define, communicate and gain alignment for a comprehensive AI strategy across all functions.
• Maintain an iterative roadmap of AI transformation initiatives and ensure cross‑team sequencing.
• Design and run a robust AI learning program, including regular training sessions and demos tailored to each team.
• Provide continuous insight on emerging AI developments and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Own the AI transformation operating cadence, facilitating executive and product‑level AI meetings and reporting forums.
• Listen to individual contributors, map current adoption versus leadership expectations, and deliver candid guidance on AI implementation.
• Partner with Engineering to triage AI tooling requests and keep the organization updated on the AI tooling landscape.
• Establish the first AI adoption and impact measurement framework and act as a thought partner to existing AI leads.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead through influence and secure senior stakeholder buy‑in without direct authority.
• Strong program and product management discipline, capable of running recurring cadences that hold multiple functions accountable.
• Senior‑management credibility with experience advising C‑suite or VP‑level leaders.
• Deep AI fluency and an active external network of AI practitioners, enabling translation of cutting‑edge developments into internal strategy.
