Utilities Supervisor

About the role

The Utilities Supervisor will lead the planning, development, and execution of preventive and progressive maintenance programs for a high‑volume snack production line. Working closely with line leaders, technical teams, and external contractors, you will ensure equipment reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line leaders to meet SQCDSM targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Morale).
• Own technology, process settings, and centerline management for line equipment.
• Manage Progressive Maintenance (PM) systems, KPIs, and the Repairs & Maintenance (R&M) budget.
• Develop and execute preventive and time‑based maintenance plans, building capability within the shift technicians.
• Lead technical skill development, ensuring technicians can operate and maintain equipment independently.
• Collaborate with Asset & Reliability teams on system improvements and special maintenance tasks.
• Drive change management, spare‑part localization, breakdown analysis, and cost reduction.
• Represent the line in regional and global technology forums and support new‑initiative VSU teams.

Required profile

• Strong desire to advance a career in manufacturing maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead a line‑level maintenance function and coach next‑level owners.
• Experience applying PDCA methodology to drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) – Step 4.
• Proficiency in Progressive Maintenance (PM) – Step 3.
• Expertise in TPM Phase 3 & 4 tools and problem‑solving techniques.
• Capability to perform breakdown (BD) and planned maintenance on dedicated equipment.
• Experience with maintenance budgeting and KPI tracking.
