Urban Finance and Project Feasibility Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking a specialist to support the FIDUS Project in Argentina. The consultant will assist local governments and stakeholders in identifying, prioritising, and structuring sustainable urban development initiatives, with a focus on innovative financing and project incubation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports and any additional reports required by the Project Coordinator or the Andean Countries Hub Coordinator.
• Provide expert analysis on urban finance, financial feasibility, and investment planning for proposed initiatives.
• Support the incubation and prioritisation of urban development projects through collaborative governance mechanisms.
• Assist in developing financing strategies and evaluating the economic, social, and environmental impacts of projects.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in urban finance and financial feasibility assessment.
• Experience in investment planning and designing financing strategies for territorial development.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Project Coordination Team and the UN‑Habitat Andean Countries Hub Coordinator.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
