Supervisor HSE – Inspección Geotécnica

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to lead health, safety and environmental activities for a geotechnical inspection service on a mining project in San Juan, Argentina. The role will ensure compliance with WSP and client HSE standards while working on‑site with the geotechnical team.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the dedicated HSE lead for field geotechnical inspections.
• Implement and maintain HSE processes, documentation and controls required by WSP and the client.
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, manage critical controls, issue work permits and perform HSE inspections.
• Coordinate inductions, training sessions, safety talks and preventive observations.
• Monitor contractual, legal and project‑specific HSE requirements.
• Prepare HSE reports, indicators, inspection logs and performance dashboards.
• Participate in incident investigations, follow‑up corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with client HSE teams and the project’s geotechnical technical team.

Required profile

• Professional or technical qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Management, Risk Prevention or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of HSE experience, preferably in mining, mining construction, high‑altitude projects or field services.
• Experience with engineering or inspection service contracts.
