Staff DevOps Engineer

About the role

Hubstaff is looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to shape the future of its cloud platform. This fully remote, high‑impact role focuses on building secure, scalable, and highly automated infrastructure for a global SaaS product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud networking environments.
• Standardize infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and GitOps practices.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, and Better Stack.
• Strengthen security, disaster recovery, and platform resilience.
• Drive platform strategy while remaining hands‑on with implementation.
• Improve developer productivity through automation and self‑service infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating production cloud infrastructure at scale on AWS (GCP a plus).
• Deep expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Helm, and modern GitOps workflows.
• Experience building reliable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
• Hands‑on knowledge of production PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed systems.
• Solid background in monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, etc.
• Understanding of networking, IAM, encryption, disaster recovery, and cloud security best practices.
• Comfortable supporting applications built with Ruby on Rails, Go, Rust, or Node.js.
