Software Engineer – Talent Matching (Remote, Argentina)

About the role

Greenhouse is looking for a Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of its web‑based applications for an approximately 12‑month engagement. The role focuses on Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related employer‑facing experiences, with a strong emphasis on search relevance and AI‑driven ranking.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain features for Talent Matching and Talent Rediscovery across the full stack.
• Build and optimise search and ranking systems using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, applying AI/ML techniques to improve relevance.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable production code while fixing bugs and ensuring system stability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production software development experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby, C#, Java, or Python (Ruby on Rails preferred) and strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, including React.
• Full‑stack experience covering backend APIs, data modelling, and modern frontend development.
• Hands‑on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing, query design, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques to production applications.
